Items are cheaper on Boxing Day because, the retailers want to sell their stocks. It is a time to reshelve the stores with new items to sell in the New Year. Now, we already have the Spring/Summer collection. In Fashion, we are always in advance of one season. Electonics sell well especially, cellphones which change models. So, Boxing Day is a time for generosity. You usually get some extra money from the employer as a gift. It is a tradition from England to assist during the Holiday Season. Boxing Day is for sure a tourism event.

A Holiday Season

Winter times is a good holiday season. That is when we celebrate Christmas, Kwanza, Boxing Day and New Year. There are four holidays to celebrate and we can also add the Chinese New Year a good day to celebrate and eat Chinese cuisine. During the holiday season, we have to eat after a year of fulfillment. There are so many things to accomplish in one year. It is important to stay healthy. Many things good or bad can happen. That is life. Sometimes, we think that nothing wrong will happen and when it happens it is almost too late. Therefore, we have to believe in the spirit of Christmas and hope all will go well.

Christmas Day

Christma Day is on December 25. It starts at midnight. Most children wake up to open their gifts from Santa. Father Christmas comes from Finland, the country of a thousand lakes, with his bag full of gifts. At night when it snows children come out to build snowman. This last one has a carrot as a nose, a hat, a scarf and a stick. It is a tradition we like to keep. Of course, it is best to be cautious now because of the pandemic. There are people who think the cool weather heals, it is probably true. Christmas is a day to be happy, eat some pastry and drink a cup of coffee to warm up.
